REV Fiber for Business has unveiled a new cloud-based communications platform aimed at improving how employees collaborate and interact with customers. The system consolidates voice, video, and messaging into a single mobile and desktop application, allowing teams to stay connected regardless of their physical location.
Tressy Leindecker, REV's executive vice president, said the move addresses the shift away from traditional office setups. "As workplace communication needs evolve from traditional offices to hybrid and remote environments, our business customers need platforms that remove friction," she stated.
The platform is designed to simplify daily workflows by unifying multiple communication channels. Instead of juggling separate tools for phone calls, video meetings, and instant messages, users can access everything from one interface. This approach aims to reduce delays and improve response times when dealing with customers or internal projects.
For businesses managing remote or distributed teams, the new service offers a way to maintain consistent contact without relying on consumer-grade apps. REV's platform includes features for call routing, conferencing, and secure messaging, all managed through the company's fiber network.
The launch reflects a broader trend in the business technology sector, where companies are seeking integrated solutions to support flexible work models. By removing the need for separate hardware or multiple software subscriptions, REV hopes to attract small and medium-sized businesses looking to streamline their operations.
