Hanover Police Search for Suspect in Broadway Armed Robbery

Authorities in Hanover are asking for the public's help after a business on Broadway was held up at gunpoint late Friday evening.

According to the Hanover Borough Police Department, officers responded to the report of an armed robbery at approximately 8:45 p.m. When they arrived, employees told investigators that a suspect had entered the building, displayed a firearm, and demanded money. The suspect then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured during the incident, though police say the workers were shaken by the encounter.

Detectives have not released a detailed description of the suspect, citing the ongoing nature of the investigation. It is unclear whether the robber acted alone or had help, and police have not said if surveillance footage from the business or nearby buildings has been recovered.

Anyone with information about the robbery is urged to contact the Hanover Borough Police Department. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the local crime watch program. Investigators are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who was in the Broadway area between 8:30 and 9 p.m. and may have noticed suspicious activity or a person matching the suspect's general appearance.

Business owners along the corridor are encouraged to review their security camera footage from that night. Police say even minor details, such as an unfamiliar vehicle or someone walking quickly away from the scene, could prove useful.

The investigation remains active. Further updates will be provided as new information becomes available.
